1. AN EVENING WITH MESHELL NDGEOCELLO AT CITY WINERY
Monday, March 19, 2018, 8:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
Washington, D.C.-bred musician, Meshell Ndegeocello, will be performing live in concert at City Winery Nashville. Most recently, you may have heard her criticism of Bruno Mars when she called his music “karaoke,” yet her own latest project Ventriloquism is an album full of covers. Aside from that controversy, you have an opportunity to see for yourself what she brings to the music industry and R&B when she performs music from over the years, both original songs and transformative covers. 2. ON THE LEJ PRESENTS OPEN MIC TUESDAY
Tuesday, March 20, 2018, 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
On The LEJ hosts open mic nights on Tuesdays at Broken Spoke Saloon. Open mic nights are always enjoyable. You can witness raw talent, and you can even share some of your own performing arts skills. 3. LIVE FROM THE WKND

Each and every Thursday, there will be great, live music at WKND Hang Suite. This event is in celebration of Tennessee State University. Urban League Young Professionals of Middle Tennessee are hosting this symposium all about Black wealth. Guests should seek to identify, learn from, and take action on issues involving financial practices and responsibilities. The event will cover race and wealth, investment knowledge, and resources and direction for you. The event will be held at Urban League located at 50 Vantage Way. 9. THE BOOM BAP NASHVILLE: FEATURING DJ JAZZY JEFF

Just like all other months on the 4th Saturday, Nashville’s monthly hip-hop party is back this Saturday night with another installment. The Boom Bap Nashville brings everybody out to have a good time. Resident DJs will be spinning hip-hop hits and classics, and this month’s featured guest is the one and only DJ Jazzy Jeff! He is iconic and legendary, and you do not want to miss this. It all goes down at The Basement East, and early arrival is suggested. This is a 21+ event, and cover is $20 at the door. Just like that, Sunday Night Soul at The 5 Spot (#SNS5Spot) provides good music and good vibes on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month. At each installment of #SNS5Spot you can look forward to hearing some of Nashville’s best soul artists and bands.
