1. RTP MEDITERRANEAN FUSION

Respect the Plate presents their Vegan for a Reason dinner series, and this time they will be cheffing up Mediterranean-style cuisine. They cook very delicious food, and you will be sure to enjoy this dinner as they put their own twist on common Mediterranean dishes. With the growing popularity of veganism in the Black community, it is nice to have a Black-owned business providing vegan options for you and tackling any culinary and catering task. 2. THE NEW RESPECTS AT ANALOG
Monday, April 23, 2018, 7:00 p.m.
The New Respects take the stage for a special Monday showcase at Analog, a cocktail lounge and live music venue located at Hutton Hotel. Named one of the “10 New Artists You Need to Know” by Rolling Stone, these four Nashville-natives bring family together to create a sound like no other. 3. SIR MIX-A-LOT WITH NAPPY ROOTS AT THE COWAN

I like big butts, and I cannot lie! We all know these words from the hit that will forever be immortalized thanks to Sir Mix-A-Lot. He will be performing live here in Nashville at The Cowan which is the live music venue located at TopGolf. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and Nappy Roots will be performing as a special guest. 4. BLACK VIOLIN: CLASSICAL BOOM TOUR
Thursday, April 26, 2018, 7:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Black Violin is composed of classically trained violist and violinist Wil B. and Kev Marcus, who combine their classical training and hip-hop influences to create a distinctive multi-genre sound that is often described as “classical boom.” They have shared stages with top names including Kanye West, Aerosmith, and Tom Petty, and they have collaborated with the likes of Wu-Tang Clan, Wyclef Jean, and Alicia Keys. Black Violin is currently working on a new album which is due out this year, and they will be performing live here in Nashville at the War Memorial Auditorium. Learn more HERE.
5. WINE & GRIND

You will have the opportunity to mingle with other Black professionals, entrepreneurs, and creatives based here in Nashville and surrounding areas. 6. NASHVILLE BLACK PROFESSIONALS SATURDAY SOCIAL

The Nashville Black Professionals Social Networking Group hosts socials and mixers regularly for all of us to come together, network, and socialize in relaxed settings. This month’s social will be held at Arrington Vineyards where you can enjoy an evening of music, wine tasting, and socializing during Arrington’s “Music in the Vines” series with live jazz. It is springtime, so this is the perfect opportunity for you to meet other Black professionals while enjoying the vineyards, picnic-style. 7. WINE & RHYMES OPEN MIC NIGHT FT. CANVAS PAINTING [90’s TRIBUTE]

Be at Carol Ann’s for an evening of fine wines, creative arts, and an open mic session. Showcase your own talent by signing up to participate in the open mic. There will be wine specials, and you will also have the opportunity to paint a canvas while enjoying the performances if you select the ticket option for canvas painting. 8. THE BOOM BAP NASHVILLE: FEATURING DJ GREEN LANTERN

Just like all other months on the 4th Saturday, Nashville’s monthly hip-hop party is back this Saturday night with another installment. The Boom Bap Nashville brings everybody out to have a good time. Resident DJs will be spinning hip-hop hits and classics, and this month’s featured guest is DJ Green Lantern. 9. PROJECT 615’s 4th ANNUAL NASH SPRING BASH

Nash Spring Bash is a free, family-friendly festival that hosts music, food trucks, more than 50 of Nashville’s favorite vendors, and more. 10. LITERARY JAZZ CAFE

The Nashville Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., invites you to the 18th Annual Literary Jazz Cafe which will be held at Limelight. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon of artistic performances and presentations by local artists. There will be authors, musicians, poets, wood artistry, other visual artists, and more.
